A look back
For more than 25 years, the Walch family has been working to preserve value: the Walch company was founded in 1996. This was followed in 1999 by certification as a specialist waste management company and the commissioning of a recycling line for the recovery of precious metals from telephone systems. Steady growth made the first company expansion necessary in 2000. This was followed in 2004 by the construction of a dismantling line for old electrical appliances. In 2006, the company joined the Bavarian Environmental Pact and extended its EfbV certification as a primary treatment facility in accordance with ElektroG. In 2008, the company premises
from 3,000 m² to 8,000 m² and participation in the LithoRec 1 project in 2009. Another milestone in 2010: the authorization for the storage and treatment of hazardous waste in accordance with
Federal Immission Control Act. In 2012, the next renovation and expansion of the company premises with oil separator, vehicle scales and ground reinforcement. 2013 Participation in the Li Bat. 2016 Participation in the NeWBat project. 2017 saw the last major construction project to date: the construction of a new administration building. 2018 Patent granted for a recycling plant for processing cathode material.
